Summary: Iowa started in impressive fashion, moving to eighth in the nation after a 4-0 start. But three losses by a total of eight points (all on the road) in the second half of the season saw the Hawkeyes finish with a 7-5 overall record, including a 4-4 Big Ten mark. Iowa earned an invitation to the Sun Bowl as WR Tim Dwight, RB Tavian Banks and DT Jared DeVries earned all-American honors.
