When I came to Iowa to visit in the spring, I came to watch practice. I was real impressed they way the coaches ran the practice and they way the program was run. The facilities really impressed me also. Coach Fry didn't really know who I was, but I had the chance to meet him before I left. When I came back in the fall, he remembered my name, where I was from. It's enough to know the 85 scholarship guys, let alone the walk-ons. I was impressed, he know my name, where I was from. Being from Florida, you don't hear much about Iowa, but my dad was from Iowa, so I knew about the Rose Bowl teams and what a legend Coach Fry is. The coaches give the walk-ons a fair chance. Some universities, that isn't the case. I had just as good a chance as everyone else, and it worked out for me. I try to be honest when talking to recruits, I feel that a big part of their recruiting is talking to players at different schools. I tell them what to expect, what to look for. The things about coming to the University of Iowa, a good education, playing in the Big Ten Conference and being able to play under Coach Fry.
