Summary: The Hawkeyes had an up and down season, with huge road wins at Penn State, Minnesota and Michigan State, and tough losses against Indiana and Wisconsin. Iowa's schedule came with consecutive games against Penn State, USC, and Ohio State, which would be a tough stretch in any year. Iowa was plagued with injuries at quarterback, running back and wide receiver. As a team, they completed 36% of their passes for 972 yards on the season.
