USC reserve tailback Charles White ran for 120 yards on 15 carries, including a 61 yard touchdown run to make the score 55-0.

The Hawkeyes could only manage to gain 88 yards rushing and lost 11 yards on one completed pass on the day. Iowa also turned the ball over 5 times.

The defense was equally as bad, giving up 251 yards rushing and 261 yards passing. Trojan ball carriers, Ricky Bell and Charles White each rushed for over 100 yards.
