Nick Quartaro attended DeSales High School and lived in Geneva, New York.
COLLEGE: He lettered as a defensive end/kicker at Xavier (Ohio), then transferred to Iowa, becoming the Hawkeyes’ kicker for three seasons. He finished his career as Iowa’s second all-time leading scorer. He led the team in scoring in 1975 and 1976, and was an academic all-Big Ten selection.
OTHER: He later coached the defensive line, secondary and special teams for five years at Northwestern under former Iowa running back and head coach Dennis Green. When Drake began its NCAA non-scholarship era in collegiate football, he was chosen to start the program. He was also an assistant coach under former Iowa assistant coach Bill Snyder at Kansas State, as well as an assistant at Iowa State, North Texas and Kansas.
Born 10/5/1955 and is 69 years old.
