In his Iowa career, he rushed 304 times for 1225 yards (4 yards per carry), and 7 TDs. He also caught the ball 44 times for 382 yards (8.7 yards per reception and 3 TDs). He was named All-Big Ten honorable mention in 1977 as a fullback.
