Summary: The season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020, as a result of the 2019â€“20 coronavirus pandemic, the day of the planned Big Ten tournament game against Minnesota. Luka Garza was named Big Ten Player of the Year, the first time an Iowa player has won league MVP since Sam Williams back in 1968. The Hawks ended ranked #25th in the nation, and were likely to get a seed in the NCAA tournament between #5 and #7.
