He averaged 3.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists on Bettendorf’s conference championship team, and was academic all-conference as a junior and senior, and Academic All-District as a senior.

He is a three-time Academic all-conference, two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and NABC Honors Court honoree, and served as a student manager as a freshman in 2017-18.

His brother is Nicholas Baer, who played basketball at Iowa from 2015-19.
