Summary: The team finished the season with a 19–7 record (11-3 in Big Ten), won the Big Ten title, and made the school's first trip to the Final Four (where they finished fourth). Coach Bucky O’Connor’s team became the first in Iowa history to average more than 80 points per game. Bill Logan led the Hawkeyes in scoring (15.9) and rebounding (11.0).
