RECAP

The first ever meeting against Penn State in basketball came in the NCAA tournament. The game was played on Northwestern's campus. Carl Cain and Deacon Davis combined for 40 points for the Hawkeyes. Iowa had pulled its starters with 10 minutes to go in the contest. Victory sent the Hawks to the Elite Eight against Marquette.
