Orle Triplett       

Orle Triplett attended Fremont High School and lived in Fremont, Iowa. He lettered in football in 1916 and also ran track.

In January 1917, while playing basketball in the armory, he and two others attempted to shut off a chlorine leak in the pool. They were overcome with fumes and were taken to the hospital, but fortunately survived.

His grandson is Dave Triplett, who played football during the 1970's and was an assistant coach at Iowa in the 1990's.

Born 4/22/1896 and died on 3/12/1972 at the age of 75.
