Dave Triplett        

HIGH SCHOOL: Dave Triplett attended Dowling High School and lived in or near Des Moines, Iowa. He was an all-state performer in 1967.

COLLEGE: He was an honorable mention all-Big Ten receiver and made the All-Academic team his senior year, and led the Hawks in receptions. He was also Iowa's Big Ten Medal of Honor winner.

OTHER: He was a graduate assistant coach for the 1972 football season. He had success as a head coach at Sioux City Heelan (1975-76) and at the University of South Dakota from 1979-1988. He later returned to Iowa as an assistant coach from 1989 to 1994, coaching tight ends, running backs, and specialists. After coaching at Iowa, he served as assistant vice president for gift planning at the University of Iowa Foundation for many years.

His grandfather is Orle Triplett, who played football at Iowa and lettered in 1916.

Born 2/14/1950 and is 75 years old.
