HIGH SCHOOL: George Kittle attended Norman High School and lived in or near Norman, Oklahoma. He earned all-state, all-district and all-conference honors as a senior, and averaged 11.6 yards on 26 receptions as a senior, with five touchdowns, and also recorded five interceptions on defense. Growing up, he attended Iowa City West High (Iowa) and Cedar Falls High School (Iowa) before moving to Oklahoma.

COLLEGE: After redshirting in 2012, he played in all 12 games in 2013 with five receptions for 108 yards. In 2014, he played in all games, but only caught one pass for 25 yards. In 2015, he started six games, had 6 touchdowns on 20 catches for 290 yards, and was named honorable mention All-American. In 2016, he started 11 games, and missed two games due to injury. He caught 22 passed for 314 yards and 4 touchdowns, with his best game against North Dakota State, where he had 5 catches for 110 yards. He ended his career with 48 receptions for 737 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten. He was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten team all four seasons (2013-2016).

PROFESSIONAL: The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has earned numerous regular season NFL records, including most receiving yards in a season by a tight end (1,377), most receiving yards in a half by a tight end (210), first tight end to lead the league in yards after catch (870 yards). He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2018, 2019 and 2021-2023.
