SUMMARY VIDEO

Summary: This was the first season in which Steve Alford recorded. a winning record in the Big Ten, going 9-7, good enough for fourth place during the regular season. They lost their first round conference tournament game, and were not invited to the NCAA Tournament. Two Hawkeyes were sidelined by injury and academic problems and two more left the team. The season ended on a last-second loss in the NIT to Saint Louis. The end was another downer for Alford after his fifth season. He has taken the Hawkeyes to the NCAA Tournament just once (2001) and hasn't gotten out of the first round of the NIT two of the last three years.

Conference: Big Ten

Head Coach: Steve Alford
