HIGH SCHOOL: Adam Haluska attended Carroll High School and lived in or near Carroll, Iowa. He scored 2,209 points over his 4 year basketball career, and led the team to a 1st place finish in the Raccoon River Conference and earning first team all conference honors all 4 years. He led the team in points, field goals, rebounds, and blocks, averaging 30.1 ppg and 9.9 rpg is senior season. He averaged 17.6 ppg and 6.9 rpg as a freshman, 21.5 points and eight boards as a sophomore and 29.8 points and 11 rebounds as a junior. He was named Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year. He was a 3x consecutive first team Des Moines Register Class 3A all state selection. He was the Class 3A state Player of the Year as a junior and senior.

He held track records in the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and 4x100. The 100m is also the fastest in state history. named the Most Outstanding Performer at the 2001 and 2002 Iowa State Track and Field Championships. He won the 100 meters (10.91), 200 meters (21.56), 400 meters (48.48) and long jump (22 5 1/4).

COLLEGE: He signed with Iowa State out of high school, and started every game of the 2002-2003 season. He was the second leading scorer among freshmen in the Big 12, averaging 9.2 ppg, and was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team. He decided to transfer to Iowa for the 2003-2004 season, but sat out that season, using up his redshirt year.

He scored a career-high 31 points in an 83–67 win over Coppin State in the title game of the Hawkeye Challenge, and then beat his career-best with 36 points in a 101–59 victory over Georgia State

He scored 1,578 points as a Hawkeye, including 113 steals, 434 rebounds and 84.6% from the free throw line.

He was named to the 2007 All-Big Ten Conference First Team and the 2007 Academic All-American of the Year. He also earned 3rd Team All-Big Ten in 2006, and Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in 2005.

PROFESSIONAL: After being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2nd Round of the 2007 NBA Draft, he spent time with both the Hornets and the Houston Rockets, but never actually played in an official NBA game with either team. After being released by the Rockets, he played for the Iowa Energy of the D-League in 2008, and later played overseas briefly with Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli league in the 2008–2009 season, but was injured.
