Robert 'Bobby' Grier        

HIGH SCHOOL: Robert 'Bobby' Grier attended Eastern High School and lived in or near Detroit, Michigan. He scored 9 TDs and kicked 5 conversions (59 points) in the 1959 season. He also helped his team win the league championship with a 83-yard game-winning TD run against Pershing. He was a teammate of Felton Rogers, who helped recruit him to Iowa.

COLLEGE: He played both running back and fullback. He separated his shoulder in his freshman season. He was a three-year starter, leading the Hawks in rushing yards in 1963 with 406 yards, and was a two-time Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection.

OTHER: He coached in college, but spent most of his career as an NFL assistant coach and executive of player personnel and scouting with the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.
