Year signed with Iowa: 1963

HIGH SCHOOL: Rich O'Hara attended Maquoketa High School and lived in or near Maquoketa, Iowa. He played quarterback and defensive end in football, and he scored 1,055 career points in basketball, placing him fourth all-time. He competed in track, and was called “Mr. Versatility,” competing in high jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and both high and low hurdles. He was two-time champion in the low hurdles. He also played shortstop and first base.

COLLEGE: He started out as QB, but switched to receiver at the end of his freshman season. In 1964, he caught 32 passes for 469 yards, topping Cloyd Webb's sophomore marks of 24 catches for 426 yards. He tied Webb for most touchdowns in a rookie season with 4.

After the 1965 season, he transferred to Northern Arizona.

PROFESSIONAL: He was drafted in the 1968 NFL draft by the Baltimore Colts in the 3rd Round. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons, and later spent time with the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL.

Born 3/17/1945 and is 80 years old.

Transferred out to Northern Arizona  Drafted Round 3 by Baltimore Colts in 1968
