Ron Hallstrom attended Moline High School and lived in Moline, Illinois. He started his college at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He helped lead his team to the 1978 Junior College national championship and was named to the JUCO All-American team. He signed with Iowa over Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas.
He came in as a defensive lineman, but was moved to offensive line during the 1979 season. He redshirted in 1980, and earned first team All-Big Ten as a senior.
He was a 1st round draft selection in 1982 by the Green Bay Packers. He played 12 seasons in the NFL, primarily with Green Bay from 1982 to 1992, and then spent one season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1993.
His brother Jim Hallstrom was a basketball player at Iowa.
Born 6/11/1959 and is 65 years old.
