Position(s): RB

Siaka Massaquoi attended Evanston High School and lived in Evanston, Illinois. He gained 2,031 yards and scored 27 touchdowns, and was named the 1997 News-Gazette Player of the Year and CNN/SI All-American Dream Team. He was a consensus first team all-conference and all-state his senior year, and named to the USA Today honorable mention all-American team. In one game, he rushed for 387 yards on 52 carries. He led his team to an undefeated season and No. 4 national ranking in USA Today. He lettered three times in track and twice each in football and wrestling. He was recruited by Hayden Fry, but played two years with Kirk Ferentz.

He scored a TD against Northwestern in 2001 in Evanston, where he attended high school.

After Iowa, he moved to California and became an actor.

Born 1/23/1980 and is 45 years old.

I chose Iowa over Illinois, Michigan, Notre Dame and Northwestern because, well, coach Fry was the only coach who hugged me. Everyone at Iowa took more of a personal approach. On my visit, the Iowa players were great. It wasn't like I was some little chump coming into their world. It's not how I played, but who I was that seemed to matter. That whole place, you go there and just start smiling. I didn't want to come home after my visit.
