The Nebraska defense held Kaleb Johnson in check with only 16 yards at halftime. The Iowa defense held strong, but gave up a long drive and TD at the end of the first half, and trailed 10-0. A muffed punt by Nebraska gave Iowa the ball on their 4-yard line, but they had to settle for a FG. Johnson finally got on the board with a screen pass that he took 72-yards for a TD to tie the game at 10-10. Max Llewllyn forced a fumble with :20 seconds left in Nebraska territory. Iowa ran the clock down to :03 seconds to set up Drew Stevens for the game-winning 53-yard FG. The Iowa offense mustered only 5 first downs and did not convert a 3rd down. Iowa has won 9 of the last 10 games (4 of them on late FGs).
