After struggling early, the Hawks pulled away in the end. Shanda Berry and Franthea Price led the Hawks with 17 points. Michelle Edwards was held to 12 points. Iowa was without the services of point guard Pam Williams, who did not play due to a bad back. The win moved Iowa to 6-0, its best start in school history.
