Hannah Stuelke broke the Carver-Hawkeye Arena record with a career-high 47 points, shooting 17-20 from the field (85%), including nine rebounds. Caitlin Clark tied the CHA record with a career-high 15 assists and 27 points. Kate Martin recorded a double-double with 16 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

Penn State took a 2-point lead in the 1st quarter, but the Hawkeyes responded with 32 points in the 2nd quarter, shooting 60% from the field to go into halftime with a 55-44 lead, led by Clark's 16 points.

The 111 points are the most Iowa has have scored against Penn State and tie for the second most in school history (115 vs. Evansville in 2023).
