William Kelly and Samuel Hobbs had a great day on the ground, leading the Hawkeyes to a 12-6 victory. It was the first meeting all time between Iowa and Northwestern. Northwestern scored first and took a 6-0 lead into halftime. Iowa came out and scored a safety in the second half. Iowa also made halftime adjustments and executed the tandem play for 2 second half touch downs.
