The school mascot is Sebastian the Ibis. The ibis was selected as the school's mascot because, according to university legend, it is the last animal to flee an approaching hurricane and the first to reappear after the storm, making it a symbol of leadership and courage.

Stadium History - Hard Rock Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Miami Gardens, Florida, a city north of Miami. It is the home stadium of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) and the Miami Hurricanes football team. The facility opened in 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium, but the Hurricanes didn't start playing there until 2008. They played their home games at The Orange Bowl from 1937 through the 2007 season, and it was demolished in 2008. Originally known as Burdine Stadium when opened in 1937, it was renamed in 1959 for the Orange Bowl college football bowl game which was played at the venue following every season from 1938 to 1996. From 1926 to 1937 they played in a stadium near Tamiami Park and also at Moore Park until the Orange Bowl was built.

This stadium list is under construction.
