Tangela Smith poured in a game-high 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Hawkeyes to a 64-56 road win over Indiana. The Hawks shot 55.2% from the field in the second half to pull away from the Hoosiers after a sluggish first half, shooting just 26.3% from the field and trailed 26-24 at the break. Smith provided the only offensive spark as she tallied 10 first-half points. Iowa looked like a different team in the second-half. They held Indiana scoreless for the first six minutes as the Hawkeyes blew open a 14 point lead, 40-26. Indiana never got closer than 8 points. Gary, Indiana native Angela Hamblin tallied 14 points while point guard Karen Clayton added 11 points.
