RECAP

In the first ever meeting between the two schools, the Hawkeyes put 42 points on the board in the first half. Iowa's offense was unstoppable, scoring every time it touched the ball in the first half. Sedrick Shaw, Tavian Banks and Rodney Filer ran for first-half touchdowns, and quarterback Matt Sherman threw for three. Tim Dwight was on the receiving end of two scoring aerials, In the second half Cody Ledbetter picked apart Iowa's defensive reserves for 235 yards passing. Sherman threw for 217 yards to eight different receivers. Banks led all rushers with 147 yards, while Shaw added 104. Zach Bromert, a walk-on freshman made the most of his debut, hitting eight PAT attempts and a 29-yard field goal.
