RECAP

Iowa trailed most of the game, but rallied behind forward Roy Marble's 28 points and B.J. Armstrong's 16 points to avoid the upset. The Hawkeyes trailed by seven at 69-62 with 7:51 remaining. In the next two minutes Iowa outscored the Miners 12-4 to take a 74-73 advantage. Tied at 74, Marble added two free throws and Kevin Gamble added a layup to put Iowa up by four at 78-74, and the Hawks were able to hold on for the win.
