RECAP

The Hawks started slow, going 7 minutes without a score, falling behind 25-6. They quickly came back to tie the game at halftime. But Iowa couldn't stop NC State's Rodney Monroe, who forced overtime twice with last-second shots, and then continued his hot streak in the second overtime to finish with 40 points. For Iowa, it was senior Ed Horton who led the Hawks with 32 points and 12 rebounds, along with 24 points from senior Roy Marble.
