Lawrence 'Pops' Harrison  

Harrison coached six all-Americans, six first team all-Big Ten Conference players, and Iowa's first outright Big Ten Conference championship team in 1945 (17-1 overall record, 11-1 conference record). The team led the league in defense, and broke eight Iowa records. His Iowa career record was 98-42 (70%).

He was also an Iowa basketball letterwinner in 1926, and 1928, and was a member of Iowa's co-Big Ten Conference championship team in 1926.

In 1999, he was inducted into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame.

Born 8/29/1906 and died on 8/19/1967 at the age of 60.
