Iowa used a 21-8 first half run to build a 44-29 halftime lead and made just enough free throws down the stretch to hold off a desperate Wolverines team. The score was closer than it actually was, as the Hawks led by double-digits most of the game. The bench play sparked the Hawks with 29 points, led by J.R. Koch with 14 points and 4 rebounds, including 2 early 3-pointers. Andre Woolridge scored a game-high 25 points to go with eight assists on the night, moving into eighth place all-time at Iowa.
