In a rare nationally televised game on CBS, Northwestern was hot from 3-point range early in the game to keep it close, but the Hawks pulled away late to take a 12-point lead at half. The second half picked up where they left off, as Northwestern continued to struggle offensively, and the Hawks continued their hot-shooting streak, hitting nearly 60% from the field. Luka Garza showed his offensive diversity from inside and outside to finish with 17 points and 10 rebounds, but didn't play most of the second half. The Hawks held a lead most of the first half, but went cold to end with just a 2 point lead. To start the second half, they went on a 22-6 run to take a commanding lead. They held off another late Gopher run to get revenge for the loss earlier this season. Luka Garza finished with 33 points. Luka Garza scored 15 of his 25 points in the second half, and had a season-high 9 blocked shots. Iowa also took advantage of Rutgers' abysmal 4 of 12 free-throw shooting. He surpassed Aaron White for second on Iowa's career scoring chart, while the win tied Fran McCaffery with Lute Olson for the second most Big Ten wins as an Iowa coach with 92. Jordan Bohannon was back to his old shooting ways, going 6-9 from 3-point range and finishing with 24 points to help pull away in the second half. CJ Fredrick helped the Hawks in the first half by scoring 17 of his 19 points. Luka Garza added 18 points, but snapped his streak of 18 straight Big Ten games scoring at least 20 points.
Iowa got down by 12 points early, but rallied at the end of the first half to get the game close. Leading by 7 with 44 seconds left, Minnesota rallied to tie the game and send it into OT. The Gophers hit 5 3-pointers in the OT to pull the upset.

Despite a string of recently cancelled games, Gonzaga showed why they were the #1 team and didn't seem sluggish in a convincing win over the Hawks. They pulled ahead by 20 points in the first half, and Iowa could never cut the lead below 10 the rest of the way. 3-point shooting was a factor, as the Hawks ended 4-22 while Gonzaga shot 13-26. They also struggled at the free throw line with 14-26 shooting.
Luka Garza scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds. Joe Wieskamp added 20 points and nine rebounds. Jordan Bohannon hit only 1-8 from the field, and was 0-5 on 3-pointers. Joe Touissant played well, adding 14 points off the bench.

After getting in foul trouble in the first half, Luka Garza dominated the second half and ended with 34 points in just 17 minutes, including a perfect 10-10 from the field after halftime (5-5 on 3-pointers). He rattled off 21 straight team points, including 4 straight 3's. He scored the most points by a Division I player who played less than 20 minutes in a game over the past 25 seasons.

The Hawks jumped to an early 16 point lead on early 3-pointers. The Tar Heels raced back in the second half to take the lead by 1, but Iowa quickly responded with a 14-0 run to take control the rest of the way. Iowa finished with 17 3-pointers.
