Scott Helverson        

Scott Helverson attended East High School and lived in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a two-time first team All-State selection.

He walked-on at Iowa, but quickly became a valuable member of the receiving corps. He eventually earned a scholarship and became a team Most Valuable Player. He caught 76 passes for 996 yards and grabbed 11 touchdowns in his collegiate career, and was a member of two Rose Bowl teams. One of his most famous plays was a touchdown that was incorrectly ruled out of bounds in the famous 1985 game vs Michigan.

After Iowa, he became a referee, and has been working NFL games since 2003.
