Kevin Harmon        

HIGH SCHOOL: Kevin Harmon attended Bayside High School and lived in or near New York City, New York. He was named all-city as a QB after completing 35 of 70 passes for 917 yards and 10 TDs, with a total offense of 1200 yards and accounted for 17 TDs. An injury in his senior season impacted his recruiting, and he ultimately chose Iowa over Maryland and Syracuse.

COLLEGE: After redshirting the 1983 season, he rushed for 68 yards on 10 carries. In 1985, he contributed 180 rushing yards and 3 TDs, while adding value as a receiver out of the backfield. The following season, he matched that touchdown total with 154 rushing yards. During the 1986 Holiday Bowl, his 48-yard kickoff return late in the game set up the game-winning FG. His senior year in 1987 was his breakout season. He became a major part of the Hawkeye offense, leading the team with 668 rushing yards on 139 carries (4.8 yards per carry) and scoring six rushing TDs. He also added 248 receiving yards and one TD, giving him 916 total yards from scrimmage that season, all despite an ankle injury that has caused him to miss much of the last seven games.

In his Iowa career, he appeared in 46 games, totaling 1,070 rushing yards on 222 carries (4.8 average) with 12 rushing touchdowns. He also contributed over 300 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown, finishing with more than 1,300 all-purpose yards.

PROFESSIONAL: He was drafted in the 1988 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks in the 4th round, and had limited playing time over two seasons (1988-1989).
