Rodney Filer

Position(s): RB

Rodney Filer attended University High School and lived in Waco, Texas. At Iowa, he did not redshirt and played all four seasons, ending with 50 carries for 297 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 3 touchdowns. He also caught 10 passes for 158 yards (15.8 yards per catch). He rushed nine times for 113 yards and one touchdown against Iowa State in 1995.

He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers in 1997. He played in the Arena Football League (AFL) for thirteen seasons with the Iowa Barnstormers, New York Dragons, Las Vegas Gladiators, Tampa Bay Storm and Utah Blaze. He was an all-Arena selection in 2003.
