Tom Farmer        

Tom Farmer attended Wilson High School and lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was as a multi-sport athlete who graduated in 1939.

He had the impossible job of replacing Nile Kinnick as Iowa halfback, but was still able to have a successful college career, catching the attention of NFL scouts.

He was drafted in the second round of the 1943 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Rams, but first served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years during World War II and saw duty in the Pacific theater.

Upon his return, he he played for the newly-relocated Los Angeles Rams in 1946 and the Washington Redskins in 1947 and 1948.

Born 4/17/1921 and died on 7/1/1980 at the age of 59.
