HIGH SCHOOL: Marv Cook attended West Branch High School and lived in or near West Branch, Iowa. He was first team all-state QB, Tight End and Kicker (1982 and 1983).

COLLEGE: He had 126 receptions, 6 touchdowns and 1,825 total receiving yards from 1986-1988. His most famous score was the game-winning touchdown at Ohio State in 1987, one of the greatest Iowa plays in school history. He was a consensus first-team All-American, a two-time Iowa team MVP and a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection.

PROFESSIONAL: He was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft, and played in seven NFL seasons from 1989 to 1995 for the Patriots, the Chicago Bears, and the St. Louis Rams. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1991 and 1992. In 1991, Cook was fourth in the NFL in receptions with 83. His 210 receptions as a Patriot put him 3rd in team history for tight ends.

OTHER: From 2007 to 2020, he was the head football coach at Regina High School in Iowa City, where he has won seven straight state titles between 2010 and 2016, as well as a state record 56 game winning streak from 2010 to 2013.
