Brett Chambers attended Treynor High School and lived in Treynor, Iowa. He was named 2nd team all-state defensive lineman as a junior, and 1st team all-state as running back.

At Iowa, after walking on the team in 1992, and redshirting that season, he worked his way up the depth chart and eventually earned a scholarship. He was a three-year letterwinner and started 14 games at outside linebacker. As a junior, he recorded two QB sacks vs Minnesota, and 2 QB sacks in the 1995 Sun Bowl. As a senior, he added 4 more sacks and a key interception in a win against Illinois.

Born 8/17/1973 and is 52 years old.
