Willam 'Bill' Quinby

Willam 'Bill' Quinby attended Franklin High School and lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

COLLEGE: He also played one season of football, but knee injuries halted his career. He transitioned to student-manager under head coach Forest Evashevski, leading the staff of six people. He shifted his athletic focus to baseball and boxing, and lettered in baseball after the 1954 season. He was also a novice heavyweight boxer, winning the 1952 Golden Gloves.

OTHER: He spent 17 years as an NFL game official. He was a teacher, athletics director and a principal in the Cedar Rapids school district for more than 20 years.

Born 2/27/1932 and died on 4/20/2024 at the age of 92.
