Bob Sanders         

Bob Sanders attended Cathedral Prep High School and lived in Erie, Pennsylvania.

COLLEGE: He played as a freshman in 2000 and was named honorable mention All-Big Ten. From 2001 to 2003, he was named first team All-Big Ten, and was named second team All-American as a senior.

In his last game at Kinnick Stadium against Minnesota, he forced three fumbles including a fumble at the goal line.

PROFESSIONAL: Although considered small for a safety at 5'8", he was nicknamed the "Hit Man" with his big tackles and toughness. He ran a 4.3 40-yard dash and his vertical jump was 44 inches. He was the 2nd round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2004 NFL Draft, and played there from 2004-2010 (winning a Super Bowl in 2007), and finished his career in 2011 with the San Diego Chargers. He was twice named to the Pro Bowl (2005 and 2007), and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2007.
