HIGH SCHOOL: Wendy Ausdemore attended Tri-Center High School and lived in or near Neola, Iowa. She was named 2005 Miss Iowa Basketball and team MVP all four years. She was a two-time first team all-state and all-conference selection, and named the Southwest Iowa (SWI) Player of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year her senior season. She was named the state tournament MVP after posting 31 points and 10 rebounds in championship game. She averaged 19.4 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.4 apg her senior year and set school records for season scoring (542) and 3-point field goal percentage (.490). Her 49 percent shooting from beyond the arc ranked second in the state. She was named the 2003 SWI Volleyball Player of the Year and earned second team all-state and first team all-conference volleyball recognition in 2003. She also lettered in track and field, and was the 2004 state discus champion and 2005 Drake Relays discus champion. She was a state finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman and was also a McDonald's all-American team nominee.
