HIGH SCHOOL: Shannon Perry attended Cerritos High School and lived in or near Carson, California. She played basketball and volleyball.

COLLEGE: She was regarded as the team's leading defensive player during her career. She lead the team in field goal percentage in 1995-96 (.500), started all but one game her senior season and scored a career-high 17 points and season-high nine rebounds versus Washington in the Prairie Lights Championship game (Nov. 30, 1997). She was a three-time All-Big Ten Academic selection and received the 1998 Robin Roberts/WBCA Sports Communication Scholarship award and the 1998 NCAA Women’s Enhancement Post-Graduate Scholarship award.
