Ella Schmit        

HIGH SCHOOL: Ella Schmit attended Bettendorf High School and lived in or near Bettendorf, Iowa. She was named 2022 Dan Gable Ms. Wrestler of the Year She was the #3 ranked wrestler nationally at the 117-pound weight class. She was a two-time All American, three-time Iowa state title winner, and placed 5th at the 2021 Junior Women’s National Championship. She was also the Cadet Freestyle All-American in 2019.

COLLEGE: In 2022-23, the Iowa program had not started yet, so she wrestled unattached. She won the 2023 Bearcat Open, placed 5th at the Klippan Women’s Open, was the 2023 U20 National Championships Runner-up, and the 2023 U20 Pan American Champion.
