HIGH SCHOOL: Deacon Pe'a Hill attended Santa Barbara High School and lived in or near Santa Barbara, California. He was a 4-star recruit by Rivals, and 3-star by 247 Sports and ESPN, and was invited to play in the 2021 Polynesian Bowl. He was named Santa Barbara News-Press All-County Offensive MVP as a junior, and threw for 3,102 yards and 33 TDs and ran for 461 yards and 13 TDs.

COLLEGE: He originally signed with Wisconsin, and redshirted in 2021, and played in one game in 2022. He transferred to Iowa for the 2023 season. After Cade McNamara was injured, he took over the starting QB duties against Purdue.
