Caleb Shudak         

Caleb Shudak attended Lewis Central High School and lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He redshirted in 2016, then became the kickoff specialist starting in 2019. He earned a scholarship in the spring of 2020, and was able to take advantage of an extra year of eligibility in 2021 to take over placekicking duties full-time. He was a 4x Academic All-Big Ten.

After waiting patiently behind outstanding kickers Miguel Recinos and Keith Duncan, he took advantage during his final season. He made 24-of-28 field-goal attempts, and all 36 of his PATs. He also made 4-of-6 attempts from 50 yards or more.

He was named third-team All-America by the Associated Press and was a Lou Groza Award semifinalist.

His father was placekicker Jeff Shudak, who kicked at Iowa State from 1987-1990.
