COLLEGE: He played football at Iowa for two years before injuring his knee and transferring to Upsala College, where he played football for three years and basketball for one year.

PROFESSIONAL: He was an undrafted free agent, and played in three games for the New Orleans Saints of the NFL in 1987. He played four years in the Arena Football League.

OTHER: He went on to coach in college and Arena football (University of South Dakota, Hartford Sea Wolves and the Chicago Rush). He was part of the Chicago Rush Arena Bowl Championship team in 2006
