Carlos Honore

Carlos Honore attended West High School and lived in Iowa City, Iowa. He completed his high school career as the leading rusher in Class 4A and state history with 4,382 yards in three seasons, scoring 90 touchdowns, including 1,156 yards and 31 TDs as a senior. He holds school records for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in a game, season and career, and led his team to the state championship and undefeated season as a junior. He was named to all-conference and Class 4-A all-state team for three seasons, and was a Des Moines Register Elite all-state selection as a junior. He is the only Class 4A player in Iowa to be named to the all-state first team three times.

At Iowa, he redshirted in 1997, and practiced at running back and defensive back. He had one carry during the 1998 season, then transferred to Southwest Missouri State.
