Ray Thompson

Ray Thompson attended Argo High School and lived in Summit, Illinois. He was an all-stater and McDonald’s All-American. He averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds as a senior.

At Iowa, he averaged 13.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Prior to the 1989 NCAA Tournament, he was ruled academically ineligible.

After two seasons at Iowa and some academic and legal issues, he transferred to Oral Roberts for his final two seasons.
