HIGH SCHOOL: Todd Berkenpas attended Maple Valley High School and lived in or near Mapleton, Iowa. He broke the career scoring record for Iowa high school boys basketball with 42 points in a 86-56 win over Odebolt-Arthur. He finished his career averaging 30.6 points over 83 games for a career total of 2,536 points. He was crowned as Iowa’s first “Mr. Basketball.” He was recruited by Iowa State and Iowa, but chose the Hawkeyes and Lute Olson.

COLLEGE: During his senior year, he averaged 5.7 points per game, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
