HIGH SCHOOL: Brandt Yocom attended Chariton High School and lived in or near Chariton, Iowa. He won eight letters in school (two each in football and basketball, and four in track). He was captain of the football and basketball teams in his senior year. He was all-state in 1970. He was a member of the two-mile relay team that won state championship.

COLLEGE: In 1971, he caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown as a freshman. He was the third leading receiver in 1972 when he caught nine passes for 102 yards, and was named the winner of the Daily Iowan spirit award at the end of the season. He sat out the 1973 season with a knee injury. In 1974, he caught 18 passes for 248 yards, and in 1975, he caught 7 passes for 75 yards.

Born 8/14/1952 and died on 4/15/2024 at the age of 71.
