Parker Wildeman attended Washington High School in Cherokee, Iowa. He ended with 386 career solo tackles, an average of 14.9 per game. He was named “Siouxland Athlete of the Year” by the Sioux City Journal, and All-State first team for the second straight year.

At Iowa, he was a two-year letterwinner, and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior, when he led the Hawks with 10.0 sacks and 17 tackles for loss.
